Call to Action: Protect the Production Industry

Governor Lamont’s recently proposed budget includes language that, if passed, would reduce the film and television tax incentive in Connecticut from 30% to 25% which could dramatically impact the production industry in the state.

The budget is now with the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee for review. Please consider reaching out to your legislators if they sit on the Finance Committee (Click on “Committee Membership” to view the list of legislators on the committee) and share with them how the film and television industry impacts your livelihood and how a reduction in the tax incentive would negatively impact work opportunities in Connecticut.
