The Chicago Local wishes happy trails to one of its most beloved staff members: executive assistant Christine Czernecki. On Feb. 22, Czernecki formally said goodbye to the Chicago Local after 27 years of service to SAG-AFTRA performers.
During her SAG-AFTRA career, Czernecki was an important part of the Chicago Local team, working with the various committees, board members, contract departments, national and local offices, sister unions and the labor community. Czernecki was also part of history: She was a member of the staff as the Chicago office changed from a joint union office to a merged union office.
The Chicago Local will miss her sense of humor and positive energy, her ability to stay calm, cool and collected in all types of situations, her quiet grace, her devotion and her fierce commitment to SAG-AFTRA performers.
While Czernecki has mixed emotions about leaving her SAG-AFTRA home, she is looking forward to new adventures as she begins the next chapter of her life’s journey.
As the song goes, “Happy trails to you … until we meet again.”
