June Scene to Screen Features Ashley Hudson’s The Trial

The Conservatory Committee of the SAG-AFTRA New Orleans Local hosted a Scene to Screen reading of Ashley N. Hudson’s screenplay The Trial at Second Line Studios in the Lower Garden District on June 11.

The third SAG-AFTRA Scene to Screen reading featured 21 local SAG-AFTRA members who read a variety of roles from the provocative screenplay. Scene to Screen allows SAG-AFTRA members who are also writers to hear professional actors read their original screenplays. The readings allow SAG-AFTRA actors to apply cold reading skills and network with fellow union members.

The local recognized Hudson for the selection of her screenplay. A New Orleans stunt actor and emerging screenwriter, Hudson lived in Shreveport before relocating to New Orleans.
