Join Us at the Atlanta Pride Parade

Where: Atlanta Civic Center MARTA Station, 435 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308. SAG-AFTRA members’ exact meeting location will be provided after you register.

Join your Atlanta Local fellow members as we march behind our SAG-AFTRA banner during the Atlanta Pride Parade!

The parade starts at noon at the Atlanta Civic Center Marta Station. (Members participating must be at parade no later than 10:30 am). Due to strict headcounts by the parade organizers, we need all members interested in marching with our contingent to RSVP here. Members registering will receive further instructions on when and where to meet along with instructions on how to get a complimentary SAG-AFTRA Pride t-shirt, while supplies last. 

The Atlanta Pride Celebration is the largest gathering of LGBTQ+ people and our allies in the Southeast. The event features a two day festival with music, merchandise, art and food along with a parade and a week's worth of educational and social events. The Atlanta Pride Parade is the biggest event of the Festival. Drawing over 100,000 people along the streets of Midtown Atlanta! Stepping off from the Atlanta Civic Center MARTA Station and continuing down Peachtree Street, the parade will turn right onto 10th Street and end a block from the Charles Allen Gates to Piedmont Park. 

How to Support: Remember, you don’t have to attend in person to participate. You may show your support on social media, use the hashtag #AtlantaPride, #SagAftraStrong and #SagAftraMember, particularly during the parade or when you attend the 2023 Pride Festivities.

Lunch and Learn: See How the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and Entertainment Community Fund Can Assist You During the Strike and Beyond

Please join us for a Lunch and Learn to gain knowledge about how the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and Entertainment Community Fund can assist you during the strike and beyond. Both organizations offer financial assistance and other support to SAG-AFTRA members. Learn how to navigate this process. Pizza will be served. 

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the most comprehensive, educational and state-of-the-art resources to SAG-AFTRA members. The Foundation knows there are ups and downs in the performing arts, and is here for SAG-AFTRA members, in good times and bad. Through their assistance programs, they work to ensure that no performer is alone when times get tough.

The Entertainment Community Fund fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan. Founded in 1882, the Entertainment Community Fund is a national human services organization here to meet the needs of our entertainment community with a unique understanding of the challenges involved in a life in the arts.

Solidarity Walk

Where: IBEW Auditorium, 153 Richardson St SW, Atlanta, GA 30312

Join the Atlanta Local in a walk of solidarity from Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum (Carter Center) to the The King Center. This is a 1.4 mile walk along the Freedom Trail. 

Please arrive at the IBEW Auditorium parking lot (free parking) between 8:30am - 9:30am to be shuttled to the Carter Center. The last shuttle will leave the IBEW parking lot at 9:30am for the 10am walk.

The Atlanta Local Conservatory Presents: Raising the Bar with Casting Director, Erica Arvold

Doors will close at 7:05 p.m. No one will be admitted after that time out of respect for our presenter and participants. 

The SAG-AFTRA Muriel Moore/Danny Nelson Conservatory presents: Raising the Bar with Casting Director, Erica Arvold. This intensive will blend conversation with on-your-feet exercises and a Q&A session. The 2.5 hours will focus on current expectations, maintaining artistic integrity, and the path of success within the Atlanta film/TV market. Sharing aspects of her casting experience as well as her directing endeavors, Erica Arvold's insight provides transparency for actors and multi-hyphenate screen artists.

Our conservatory will be collecting non-perishable food items for Atlanta Community Food Bank.

National Day of Solidarity - Atlanta

Join AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler and Atlanta Local members for the National Day of Solidarity for SAG-AFTRA and WGA members on strike. Members of the TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee, Atlanta Local President Eric Goins and Mike Pniewski, are scheduled to speak.

Wear your SAG-AFTRA t-shirt! Limited SAG-AFTRA t-shirts will be available while supplies last for members with a current membership card (or their digital card on their app).  

Parking: there is large parking lot but we are expecting a crowd, so please carpool if possible. Should the lot be full and you park along the street, DO NOT park in residents' yard or block their driveways. Thank you.

Atlanta Local Social Gathering & Strike Information Update

Join us for a social gathering in solidarity and get information and updates on the SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical/Streaming Strike. 

Question and answer period in the office 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

A small number of food trucks will be available for you to purchase food. The food trucks are located in the back right corner of the parking lot in front of building 14 that connects to our parking lot. Spend time eating, socializing and getting information outside at the food trucks. Light refreshments and information will also be available in the office. First two hours of parking are free. See a staff member for instructions on how to comp your parking if you stay longer. 

This is a social gathering and no signs or strike chants will be allowed. No media. Photos only. 

Wear your SAG-AFTRA t-shirts if you have one.  SAG-AFTRA Strong t-shirts (limited quantity) will be provided. T-shirts are only being distributed to SAG-AFTRA members at events/rallies while supplies last.

Atlanta Stunt Rally
