Commercials Slalom Presentation for the Mid-sized and Small Locals

As part of the last Commercials negotiation, SAG-AFTRA and the JPC agreed to a joint study to continue the parties' investigation into alternative methods of compensation and other changes that may be necessary for the Commercials Contract to reflect Industry and technological developments.  During the term of the agreement, the parties selected Slalom Consulting LLC to conduct this study and Slalom has now delivered its recommendations, which are likely to be discussed during bargaining.  Join us for a report and Q&A session on Slalom's recommendations presented by David Viviano, SAG-AFTRA’s Chief Economist.

The Commercials Contracts expire on March 31, 2022 and Wages and Working Conditions (“W&W”) meetings will take place around the country beginning November 1, 2021.

The SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local will be conducting Wages & Working Conditions (“W&W”) meetings in preparation for the 2022 SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract and 2022 SAG-AFTRA Audio Commercials Contract Negotiations. The Commercials Contracts expire March 31, 2022.

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process. Meetings are open to all paid-up SAG-AFTRA members.*

2022 Commercials Landscape Presentation Kicks Off W&W Process

SAG-AFTRA announces the start of the Wages & Working Conditions (“W&W”) process in preparation for the negotiation of the SAG-AFTRA Commercials and Audio Commercials Contracts (“Commercials Contracts”). The Commercials W&W process will begin nationally on November 1, 2021. 

In preparation for the W&W process, SAG-AFTRA will hold two national videoconferences for a presentation of the “Landscape of Commercials.” This presentation will help the membership understand the current state of the industry under which SAG-AFTRA will be negotiating the Commercials Agreements, which will expire on March 31, 2022.  

In addition to this presentation, SAG-AFTRA will be holding local W&W meetings, stakeholder caucus meetings and national W&W videoconference meetings throughout the months of November and December. Please check your email and local webpage for specific dates, subjects (where applicable) and times.
