SAG-AFTRA and the Joint Policy Committee have agreed to updates to the 2024 Commercials Low Budget Digital Waiver. The improvements, which went into effect on June 27, include:
- “Connected” low-budget digital productions are permitted but must be on a different day than the full-budget commercial
production. - Principal performers will be paid not less than the 2022 Commercials Contract scale session rate: $783.10 for on-camera performers; $588.90 for off-camera
performers.
Extra performers will be paid not less than the 2022 Commercials Contract general session rate: $427.30. - Extras will receive an integration fee at the general session rate: $427.30 for edits.
Producers must negotiate with principals for edit and use fees.
