New York state Attorney General Tish James, New York state Senate Deputy Leader Mike Gianaris and New York state Sen. Lea Webb join thousands in support of striking entertainment industry workers.

On Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Warner Bros. Discovery/Netflix picket line, thousands of union members and supporters joined together in an incredible showing of solidarity for the New York State AFL-CIO and New Jersey State AFL-CIO / SAG-AFTRA and WGAE Solidarity Picket.

Following a picket line that stretched around the entire block, SAG-AFTRA New York Local Vice President Jim Kerr hosted a lineup of speakers that included New York Attorney General Letitia James; New York state Senate Deputy Leader Mike Gianaris; New York state Sen. Lea Webb; New York Local President Ezra Knight; WGAE President Michael Winship; SAG-AFTRA and WGA member John Leguizamo; SAG-AFTRA Philadelphia Local President Nicole Izanec; SAG-AFTRA Executive Director, New York Local, Labor Policy and International Affairs Rebecca Damon; and WGAE Executive Director Lowell Peterson. A special thank you to NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento and NJ AFL-CIO President Charles Wowkanech for sharing their words of support and joining SAG-AFTRA and the WGA as our partners for this special picket.
