This Earth Day is a particularly solemn occasion. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released an alarming report a few weeks ago saying that carbon emissions need to be reduced immediately to prevent the most catastrophic effects of climate change.

It will require significant coordinated efforts by governments and corporations, but individuals must help out, too. We will all need to fundamentally change the way we consume, but there are also smaller things you can do to help.
