The registry and pre-registry lists will serve as a resource for employers and will be posted Spring 2022. 

The accreditation of training programs and registry lists are not intended to imply an endorsement of any individual or company by SAG-AFTRA. The information is given for informational purposes only to confirm that the individuals and companies have been reviewed and meet the minimum standards for training, qualification and vetting (including a background check).

Yes, all interested applicants are welcome to start the submission process as we work together to safely expand the profession.

Yes, all applicants are encouraged to begin the process and submit their work experience or training documentation as they work toward meeting the qualification requirements. In this instance, you will be considered a pre-applicant on our pre-registry. 

As with any profession, you need to demonstrate intent, develop your skill set and network. Let people know about your interest in this new field by getting involved in industry discussions, join relevant groups, attend networking events, establish relationships with employers, identify potential mentors for advice and look for assistant or shadowing opportunities.

Yes, all work experience will be reviewed and considered for appropriate qualification.

• For work experience, qualifying days include pre-production, on set and post-production days. 60 days are required for the Registry List and 25 days for the Pre-Registry List.

• Proof of work experience may be submitted in the form of a paystub, call sheet with name listed or letter from the employer verifying number of days worked.

• 9 areas of training are required for the Registry and Pre-Registry lists. Proof of training may be submitted in the form of a certificate of completion, confirmation email or receipt for online courses, workshops, seminars and formal training programs.

Staff will review all documentation submitted to determine compliance with the established standards. The information will be kept confidential. Should any questions regarding implementation of the standards arise, an Advisory Work group composed of a diverse group of Intimacy Coordinators from the working community will provide guidance to Staff. The identity of applicants throughout this process will not be revealed.
