SAG-AFTRA members are standing together against BBH in defense of our Commercials Contracts. The ad agency BBH has been signed to the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contracts for almost 20 years. They now claim our union agreement doesn’t apply to them. This means BBH is abandoning its responsibility to shoot union commercials, provide fair pay, residuals, and contribute to pension & health benefits.

SAG-AFTRA’s greatest power is in the solidarity of its members! Here’s how you can show your support here in Chicago for Wednesday’s #StrikeBBH social media action:

• Join us at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Kaufherr Resource Center, 1 E. Erie St. Ste. 660 to make signs and proceed to two well-known Chicago landmarks for photos in support of SAG-AFTRA’s strike against BBH.
• At 11 a.m., SAG-AFTRA Chicago members and staff will gather at the Chicago Theatre to take pictures and message our support for SAG-AFTRA’s actions against BBH.
• Following our social media post at the Chicago Theatre, members will walk to Millennium Park where we will do a second solidarity message before adjourning.
• Don’t forget to wear your SAG-AFTRA gear to this labor action!
• Then please post your #StrikeBBH photos in social media.
• And if you can’t attend in person, please post your #StrikeBBH support in social media, share, like, retweet and comment (suggested posts below). Actions like this will take place all across the country. Look out for other #StrikeBBH and #AdsGoUnion posts and share, like, retweet and comment.

You Can Help Right Now! SAG-AFTRA members around the country are hard at work gathering data, learning about the regional commercial landscape and flipping work. In an effort to help organize more commercial work for you, our Wisconsin members, we need your eyes. You can help by watching one hour of local television and noting all commercials for local advertisers. If you would like to help, please email gianna.consalvo@sagaftra.org. Additionally, if a producer expresses interest in hiring you under a SAG-AFTRA agreement, don’t hesitate to call staff at the SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local. SAG-AFTRA offers a variety of agreements designed to fit most production budgets and it just takes one phone call to learn more.
