The Actors Fund is holding two free workshops to help you understand “Obamacare” and the proposed changes, provide you with clear guidance on what your options are, and answer your burning questions! Open to anyone in visual and performing arts and entertainment.

Questions answered include-

  • What’s different from last year?
  • What are my insurance options now?
  • How much will it cost me?
  • Am I eligible for a subsidy?
  • Am I eligible for free insurance?
  • How do I estimate my sporadic income for the application?
  • Where do I get care if I can’t afford insurance?

This initiative is in partnership with Arts + Public Life, (an initiative of UChicago Arts), SAG-AFTRA, and MusiCares.

Stunt Performers, Let Your Voice Be Heard

On Tuesday, Sept. 25, the SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local Commercial Department will host a caucus surrounding the Commercial Wage & Working Conditions process. The caucus is an opportunity for stunt performers to convene, propose contract changes, discuss enforcement issues, or other initiatives to consider prior to 2019 Commercial Agreement negotiations. We encourage you to participate, have a voice in your contract, support your union and create positive change with your fellow members.

From mics to “converter boxes,” to wall treatment and speakers, Dadabo will tackle it all during this two-hour special workshop. Let Dadabo show you the easy, medium and advanced ways to bring home voiceovers recording into light….the recording light!
