This event is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing. Unfortunately, no guests allowed. Parents/guardians of younger performers under 18 years old are welcome. SAG-AFTRA members, please bring your membership card or digital card on the app (paid through Oct. 31, 2018) for admittance.

Park at 10 East Ontario. Enter on the north side of Ontario between Wabash and State, and then take a ticket. When you sign in, you will be given a complimentary four-hour ticket pass. You will need both tickets to exit the parking structure.



Ve Vant Your Blood to Save a Life: Blood Drive and Flu Shot Challenge

Oct 15, 2018 - 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM CDT

Where:

Horror movie season is upon us and the slashers will be out stalking! Spill some blood with SAG-AFTRA and save a life. Each brave soul that successfully donates will be rewarded with a free 30-minute session with a top industry coach and a chance to win a "spooktacular" swag bag to help survive the season!

Also, if you desire, you’ll be granted a free flu shot to boost your self-defense and ensure you make the sequel.

When: Noon - 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15 
Flu shots will be available from noon - 2 p.m.

Coaching sessions for on-camera, voiceover, life, business and more are being donated by SAG-AFTRA members and industry professionals Anne Acker, Brian Plocharzck, Courtney Rioux, Cristin McAlister, Darci Nalepa, Dave Leffel, Deb Doetzer, Janelle Snow, Richard Shavzin and Robyn Coffin. They may be redeemed at a later date that is mutually agreed upon.

Don’t want a coaching session? That’s okay. You’ll be a hero nonetheless.

Casting for At The Table’s Bridezilla Verses Deer

We are now accepting role submissions for the next SAG-AFTRA/IFP At the Table event on Monday, Sept. 24. The script that will be read is Hitch Slapped, written by Colin Costello. 

The time commitment for this project will be whatever prep work the performer needs to do – i.e. : reading the script; a group rehearsal on Friday, Sept. 21 at 5:30 p.m., then the actual table read on Monday, Sept, 24 at 6 p.m. in the Kaufherr Resource Center at 1 E. Erie.

Seniors Just Want to Have Fun

The Kilpatrick Renaissance is inviting all senior SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local members to a free health and wellness fair on Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 1-3 pm. at their senior living community in Portage Park.

A staple of the Portage Park Community since 2015, the senior residence will be hosting various vendors such as AARP, Mather’s, Norwood Life Society as well as important health information.

Seniors will be treated to free refreshments, discount coupons, on-site services, and door prizes including an Odyssey Dinner Cruise.

New At The Table Event: Bridezilla Versus Deer

Here’s a sneak peek of the script via their log-line: With only 24 hours until her televised Valentine's Day wedding on a reality show, a popular wedding blogger goes bridezilla when she is forced to recover her priceless ring which has been stolen...by a deer.

Revisit Labor History on Labor Day

Where:

Chicago’s Pullman neighborhood will be celebrating Labor Day at the area’s historic sites including the Florence Hotel and The Pullman Factory on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, from 2–5 p.m.

Part of the festivities will include several SAG-AFTRA performers portraying various historical characters giving speeches and mingling with the crowds.
