Communication creates expectation. Think back on your communications with a partner and your perception of “how things would proceed.” When any key element of any relationship is left without clear communication, often inaccurate expectations are created in our own minds that commonly lead to forms of disappointment, discord, or worse… emotional chaos. Understanding the scope, expectation and specificity of a representative relationship is paramount. Learn how to encourage yourself to become a new expert at the communication “set-up” with your representation so that you remain on the same page at all times, increasing the likelihood of mutual success. The First Three Seconds

In the olden days, actors did this weird thing called "going into the room" during which they actually read scenes with real, live casting folk without ring lights! Ah, those were the days. Today, however, if you're lucky, you get 48 hours to put eight pages on tape. And "casting watches all the tapes," right? Well, at least the first three seconds. So let's make 'em count. Voiceover Acting for Animation - Understanding Your Part

Class Description:
Animation has a different style of acting than other voiceover mediums. If you understand animation acting, you'll be able to deliver auditions that perfectly fit the character you're playing. In this class, we’ll begin with vocal exercises and then you’ll be given an animation script to perform live. We'll discuss character acting vs. natural reads and what that means to the actor, as well as how an actor should break down their scripts to prepare for auditions.

Acting is Your Business: How to Take Charge of your Creative Career

Stand-Up Comedy Workshop

Understand how multi-camera acting directly correlates to stand-up comedy. Learn how to set up a joke and land a punch-line. Explore how to be open and honest while harnessing those skills to make you a better, more confident actor. Take your life experiences and use them as the subject of a “killer” stand-up set! This workshop will go over stand-up comedy basic rules including setup, premise and stage etiquette.
