SAG-AFTRA stands with Spanish-language media professionals in their movement for fair wages, health & retirement benefits, and workplace respect.

As a union that represents 160,000 professional actors, announcers, broadcast journalists, dancers, DJs, news writers, news editors, program hosts, puppeteers, recording artists, singers, stunt performers and voiceover artists, we are committed to raising standards across our industries.

By supporting each other and coming together, we can achieve better working conditions, fair wages and benefits for professionals working in Spanish-language media.

Here’s what’s happening right now:

  • SAG-AFTRA is fighting for the rights of unionized employees at the Spanish Broadcasting System’s (SBS) two popular L.A. radio stations – La Raza (KLAX/KXOL – 97.9 FM) and MEGA (96.3 FM). La Raza and MEGA are the first Spanish-language stations to organize in Los Angeles after their on-air talent voted overwhelmingly to join SAG-AFTRA on August 1, 2016. Click here to learn more.

  • After a successful organization campaign and 15 months of negotiations, the SAG-AFTRA National Board recently approved the first-ever agreement with Telemundo Television Studios to cover Spanish-language television performers. The agreement for the first time provides fair wages, benefits, and residuals to Spanish-language performers working at Telemundo. Click here to learn more.
